Welcome AMA Analytical Services

SGS is proud to welcome AMA Analytical Services (AMA) to our network of environmental testing laboratories in North America. Located in Maryland, AMA strengthens our presence on the East Coast, expanding our capabilities in the built environment sector with specialized testing services for asbestos, lead/metals, and microbial analysis. With this integration, AMA clients now have access to SGS’s extensive network of accredited laboratories and comprehensive environmental testing solutions.

Expanded Capabilities

  • Asbestos Testing: Precise analysis to support regulatory compliance and workplace safety.
  • Lead & Metals Analysis: Advanced testing for environmental and industrial applications.
  • Microbial Analysis: Detection of mold to ensure safe environments.
  • Applied Microscopy for the Built Environment: Using electron microscopy, including SAED (Selective Area Electron Diffraction) and EDXA, to solve complex challenges in nanoparticle characterization, talc and asbestos analysis, particulate identification, and indoor air quality and materials assessments.
  • TEM Analysis: NVLAP-accredited Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) for high-precision asbestos testing, including AHERA clearance, as well as air, dust, bulk, water, cosmetic, and nanoparticle analysis.
  • Rush Services: When time is critical, we offer rush turnaround requests and after-hours/weekend service for emergencies.
