Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a diverse group of synthetic chemicals used in a range of industries, including aviation, automotive, construction, manufacturing and electronics. They are also found in many consumer products, including food packaging and cosmetics. However, they are now known to present a significant threat to human health and the environment due to their persistence, mobility and toxicity, as well as the tendency of some PFAS to bio magnify through the food web.

PFASafe
To detect the presence of PFAS and measure them, we have developed PFASafe.
This innovative three-step approach improves understanding of PFAS-related risks by combining detection and measurement techniques enabling improved assessment and decision-making.
Step 1: Screening parameter
We determine whether the sample contains PFAS. If so, we proceed to step 2.
Step 2: Target analysis
We examine the sample for the 40 to 60 known PFAS compounds. This provides an initial insight into the presence of PFAS in the material being analyzed.
Step 3: TOP assay
We examine whether the sample contains other PFAS components. This enables us to assess the risk in a more targeted way, so you can adjust your policy or actions accordingly.
